mock interview:

for this unit we had to plan out a mock interview to a job or university to help further our skills in being interviewed and how we should conduct ourselves during an interview.

what went well was that i spoke clearly and followed some (not all but some) of the star methods

what I would try and improve on next time would be was that you could tell I was nervous in the video as I kept looking around the room and fiddling with my lanyard. next time I will try to be more confident in what I am saying. I would also like to improve my STAR points within my answers and remember to use them.

for my mock interview i did struggle writing the pre questions and answers as i didn't know what to ask and answer these for the interview, but i did google some careers as i wasn't sure what to base my questions on and settled with animation as that is something i have recently learnt how to do.

telephone skills:

for this unit we had to plan out a telephone call for a real life call which i may encounter to help further our skills in being called formally and how we should conduct ourselves during an interview.

what went well was that I had clear answers that made sense and were conducted in a formal manner

what I would try and improve on next time is my formal speaking as I constantly went 'um' which seems unprofessional which as someone who is taking your order would be expected to speak well on the phone a be formal while doing so.

also for this phone call i missed out asking the customer their name which would be very important when taking a pre-order as you need to verify its them when letting them in.

formal letter:

due to the research that I conducted I found a lot of complaint formal letters which I decided to try out as that is a lot of letters that I found were of that context.

what went well is that it is a letter which has formal qualities and conveys the complaint that I had written about well which is what I intended to do.

what i would try and improve next time would be making it an application like formal letter, that way i will learn how to conduct myself formally to achieve a letter that fits what i am aiming for.

CV:

for the CV we looked on canva.com to get a layout that would stand out and look the way a good CV should look like.

what went well is that i think that it works well and shows my previous experience as well as what sort of person i am

what i would try and improve next time would be to make it look more professional and make it stand out more as the current one that i have is rather bland comparing to others that i have seen. also insert it into canva as i referenced the layout but its not actually in canva.com.  

personal statement:

this is a draft of what i would use to apply to university as well as other applications i would like to go into.

what went well is that i have a couple of drafts and changed elements of it to try and improve the quality of it when i think there is something that i can add or improve.

what i would try and improve next time would be to look into more techniques and advice, i did look a little but i would like to look into more so i can improve upon my current one as well as ask for more help from my lecturers as that would have helped me write it a lot better.

show-reel:

for my show-reel it will continuously added upon and as of right now (04/12/2020) i have included very few scenes as i am rather unhappy with the quality of some of my previous work so i didn't add those parts i didn't like.

Describe a time when you solved a people problem in your course unit 9 project?

there wasn't really a people problem for me during my unit 9 project as I was just working solo and requested my dad to make the music, if there was a people problem it probably be me as it did take a while for me to finish my part of the project which led my dad to rush his part. for him to compose the music for he had to have the full scene to add certain sounds in the animation.
